The vault
1% of every $SNAP trade buys the stock that drops.
That stock is bought on-chain, in small buys, and sent to the $SNAP vault. The vault holds the AAPL, TSLA, NVDA and AMZN stock tokens that drops send. Every stock drop is sent from it.

It sends only what it holds
A stock drop is created only when the vault already holds its amount, on top of everything already promised to earlier catches.
The vault can run short of a stock, for example if the issuer burned some. When that happens:
- new drops of that stock stop;
- some drops of it that nobody has reserved come off the map, newest first, until what is owed fits;
- waiting payouts show “The vault is buying more of this stock.”
When a drop expires uncaught, or a catch ends as a card, its stock stays in the vault and counts toward the next day’s budget.
How much can go out in a day
Each UTC day, each stock gets a budget. It is made of:
- a set fraction of what the vault held at the day’s snapshot (currently a quarter);
- plus the same fraction of any of that stock bought during the day;
- never more than the vault contract allows in a day.
On launch day, the budget covers only the hours left.
The budget is released hour by hour, so drops keep appearing through the day. About half of it goes to random drops around players; city spots, flagships and stores share the rest.

- 0.4 AAPL is bought. A quarter of it, 0.1 AAPL, is added.

- 1.1 AAPL, released a little each hour. Whatever isn’t caught stays in the vault.
The vault contract also has its own limits: at most a set fraction of each stock it holds per UTC day, a smaller fraction per clock hour, a fixed daily amount per stock and a maximum per payout. A burst past the hourly limit waits for the next hour. You can read the current values on the explorer.
